“ With our custom AbaData agricultural database we can track sites, add data and images and create reports with ease.”
Ponoka County’s weed and pest inspectors visit roughly 700 sites per year on the lookout for various infestations and plant diseases – chief among them the tenacious, crop-destroying Clubroot.
A large amount of data is then gathered for each site in various formats – including text files, drawings, photos, reports and geographic coordinates. County inspectors use a custom AbaData component to store and retrieve information, and also have access to the standard AbaData Web interface when looking for subsurface utility data or aerial photography.
We’re proud to list Ponoka County among the growing number of AbaData subscribers, and happy to help the organization safely provide services to its ratepayers.
